This policy explains what BlackShieldX collects through this website and the AuditShield check, how we use it, and the choices you have. BlackShieldX is a DBA of Denmark Group LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean BlackShieldX.

What we collect

When you take the AuditShield check, you give us your organization's name, industry, and employee count range, whether you have cyber insurance, whether you use Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, your answers to the security questions, your full name and work email, and your phone number if you choose to add one. We also keep a record that you agreed to this policy, plus the results we calculate from your answers, such as your score, readiness band, and the gaps we flag. If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email, and message you send. You don't need to log in or create an account to take the check. Please don't enter passwords or other credentials anywhere in the check. We never need them.

How we use it

We use your information to score your check and show you your results, to email you a copy if you ask for one, and to follow up about your results if you agreed to be contacted. We get an email alert when someone finishes the check, and it includes your organization's details, your contact details, and your score. We also keep submissions as business records and to improve the check. We don't sell your information.

Who can see it

Only authorized BlackShieldX personnel can view submissions, and we treat your answers as confidential. A few service providers help us run things: Wix hosts this website; Formspree receives and forwards our environment questionnaire; Base44 hosts the AuditShield app, stores its submissions and sends its emails; and Microsoft provides our email, Teams and the booking page for readiness reviews. They handle your information to deliver their services, under their own terms. We may also share information if the law requires it.​

How long we keep it

We keep assessment and questionnaire submissions for up to 12 months from the date you submit them, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep your information for the length of our engagement and as our agreement with you requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner by emailing dnash@blackshieldx.com.​

Your choices

You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and tell us to stop contacting you. Reach us through the Contact page on this website and we'll respond.

Cookies and other sites

The check doesn't require a login. Our website runs on Wix, which may use cookies and similar tools to run the site and measure traffic. Links on this site may take you to other sites, such as our booking page, which have their own privacy practices.

Children

AuditShield is meant for businesses and nonprofits, not for children.
